Discover the wonders of Chaparrí Ecological Reserve, Peru’s first private conservation area and a sanctuary where history, nature, and magic come together. Revered as a sacred mountain since ancient times, Cerro Chaparrí is now a haven for biodiversity, hosting the world's densest population of Andean bears on the west side of the Andes mountain range in Peru, as well as a thriving population of the endangered white-winged guan. With over 293 bird species recorded, 50 of which are endemic to the dry forest, the reserve is a global hotspot for birdwatchers, offering the chance to observe rare species like the Andean condor, Tumbes tyrant, and many others.
This expedition is not only an opportunity for unforgettable wildlife sightings, but also a meaningful way to support ongoing conservation efforts in Chaparrí. By joining, you directly contribute to the protection of this sacred land, its wildlife, and its cultural heritage.
