Etosha & Namib Safari 16 Days

This is an exhilarating safari adventure in Namibia, where the focus is on encountering four of the iconic Big Five amidst the captivating landscapes, complemented by the breathtaking wonders of the coastal region. Here's a glimpse of what awaits:


  • Lions: Roam the expansive savannahs and witness the majestic lions, the undisputed kings of the Namibian wilderness, as they showcase their regal presence.
  • Elephants: Marvel at the desert-adapted elephants, gracefully navigating the arid terrains and providing a unique glimpse into their resilience in challenging environments.
  • Leopards: Experience the elusive beauty of leopards as they stealthily move through diverse landscapes, showcasing their adaptability and prowess.

Coastal Wonders: Explore the wonders of Namibia's coastal region:

  • Skeleton Coast: Discover the haunting beauty of the Skeleton Coast, where desolate landscapes meet the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean, offering a unique and surreal experience.
  • Cape Fur Seals: Visit Cape Cross to witness the largest breeding colony of Cape fur seals, creating a lively spectacle along the rugged coastline.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Windhoek

Arrive in Windhoek, Namibia's vibrant capital, and be greeted by your expedition leader. From the airport transfer to the luxurious Windhoek Luxury Suite. After settling in, indulge in an afternoon city tour, unveiling the cultural and historical treasures that characterize this cosmopolitan city.

Day 2: Sesriem - Gateway to the Namib Desert

Enjoy a scenic drive through the stunning Tsarisbergpass on our way to Sesriem. The landscapes at the edge of the Namib offer a glimpse of what's to come: vast deserts, isolated mountains, and awe-inspiring dunes. In the afternoon, a visit to Sesriem Canyon awaits. Our accommodation within the park allows for capturing sunset moments amidst the picturesque dunes.

Day 3: Sossusvlei - Sunrise at the Dunes

At dawn, we set forth to Sossusvlei, home to one of the world's tallest dunes. A brisk hike through the soft sands leads us to Deadvlei, an otherworldly clay pan adorned with peculiar, lifeless trees. The vibrant interplay of crimson dunes, azure skies, ivory pan surfaces, and silhouetted camelthorn trees creates a breathtaking canvas for photography enthusiasts.

Day 4: Drive to Swakopmund - Coastal Charms

We'll journey through Gaub Pass and Kuiseb Canyon, traversing the central Namib Desert. Along the route, expect encounters with ostriches, and the possibility of spotting springboks, zebras, and oryx antelopes. Ample time for scenic photo stops in the desert plains before reaching Swakopmund via Walvis Bay.

Day 5: Swakopmund - Coastal Adventures

Embark on an extraordinary boat journey through the enchanting Walvis Bay lagoon. Witness the lively spectacle of hundreds of seals, accompanied by playful dolphins, elegant flamingos, and majestic pelicans. Alternatively, opt for a thrilling kayak tour amidst the seals or venture into the Swakopmund dunes in pursuit of the captivating "Little 5."


In the afternoon, immerse yourself in many activities – from leisurely shopping to exploring the Museum, Snake Park, or Crystal Gallery. Stroll along the pristine beach or embrace the adrenaline rush with an optional quad-biking adventure amidst the towering dunes. The choices are yours to make in this unforgettable coastal experience.

Day 6: Skeleton Coast Wilderness

Explore the captivating coastal landscapes that unfold on your way to Cape Cross, home to a lively seal colony. Venture further into the remote expanse bordering the Skeleton Coast, where untouched wilderness awaits. As night falls, embrace the tranquility of camping beneath the star-studded Milky Way, creating a magical experience.

Day 7: Damaraland - Wilderness Awakening

Awakened by the enchanting call of the Francolin, we confer with our guide to plan the day. A choice unfolds: a scenic hike to explore the area on foot or a thrilling drive through dry riverbeds in search of desert-adapted elephants.

Day 8: Himba Village - Cultural Encounter

Leaving the enchanting wilderness of Damaraland, we journey towards Kamanjab. In the afternoon, we explore a Himba Village, the last semi-nomadic tribe in north-west Namibia. Immersed in their culture, we gain insights into rich traditions and customs, forging a genuine connection with a community dedicated to preserving its unique heritage amidst modern influences.

Day 9: Etosha National Park - West Side Exploration

Delve into the captivating expanse of the west side of Etosha National Park. Celebrated as one of the largest game reserves on the continent, this pristine sanctuary holds a special place among Africa's most exceptional game parks. Prepare to be captivated by the unbridled beauty of wildlife and immerse yourself in the enchanting allure of Etosha's remarkable landscapes.

Day 10: Etosha South - Wildlife Extravaganza

Traversing Etosha National Park's extensive 23,000 square kilometers, we encounter a diverse wildlife spectacle. The park hosts over 110 mammal species, featuring elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and twelve antelope species, creating a vibrant ecosystem. Our stay includes evenings by the well-lit waterhole, providing a glimpse into the nocturnal world of hyenas and leopards—an immersive experience in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 11: Etosha South - Continued Extravaganza

We dedicate another day to discovering the wonders of the Okaukuejo area. The wildlife is drawn to the Etosha Pan, a vast depression that, although seldom filled with rainwater, features numerous waterholes along its edge. These watering spots become gathering points for a diverse array of land animals and birds throughout the year. As evening descends, we eagerly anticipate observing the captivating spectacle of animals arriving and departing at our camp's illuminated waterhole.

Day 12: Onguma Game Reserve - Eastward Journey

Explore the mesmerizing landscapes of Etosha National Park's east side on an exciting game drive. Immerse yourself in the thrill of game viewing, where each moment brings the possibility of encountering majestic wildlife. Witness giraffes, kudus, zebras, oryx antelopes, black-nosed impalas, wildebeests, springboks, and ostriches. With luck, catch a glimpse of elephants, black rhinos, and lions at various waterholes. Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of nature.

Day 13: Okonjima Nature Reserve - AfriCat Experience

Leaving Etosha National Park, our route via Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo includes a visit to Lake Otjikoto, where German cannons have rested beneath its waters since 1915. Arriving at Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation, we engage in research on rare species. The afternoon brings a Leopard tracking activity, offering an exciting and educational encounter with these majestic creatures. Okonjima encapsulates history, conservation, and wildlife, making it a captivating stop in our Namibian journey.

Day 14: Okonjima Nature Reserve - Wildlife Haven

Spending another day at Okonjima Plains Camp offers the perfect blend of relaxation and optional adventure. Whether you choose to unwind and soak in the serene surroundings or decide to embark on another thrilling activity, the choice is yours. Join us in a captivating game drive during the afternoon, promising not only relaxation but also ample opportunities to capture breathtaking moments through your camera lens. It's a chance to make the most of your time in this remarkable setting and create lasting memories.

Day 15: Drive to Windhoek - Cultural Interlude

Our safari is nearing its finale. Following breakfast, there's an optional visit to the Herero Village near Okonjima. After that, we'll proceed to Windhoek via Okahandja, where you have the opportunity to shop at the wood carvers market or explore the Craft Centre in Windhoek.

Day 16: Departure - Farewell to Namibia

Depending on your departure flight, engage in some last-minute shopping. In time for your flight, you'll be transferred to the international airport, bidding farewell to the captivating landscapes and warm hospitality of Namibia.
